Young Artist of the Year 2021 - Westbury Art Centre

WHO WILL BE WESTBURY ART CENTRES “YOUNG ARTIST OF THE YEAR” 2021?

Westbury Art Centre (WAC) in Milton Keynes are hosting an exhibition dedicated to work from artists of all ages in July this year. As part of the event,  WAC is delighted to announce a section specifically aimed at young people – Westbury Young Artist of the Year.

We want to celebrate young artists at Primary and Secondary level, and the winner will not just enjoy the title of Young Artist of the Year but will have the opportunity to have their work exhibited within the MK Open Art exhibition!

Here are the details:

Who can enter?   There are three age groups: Years 3-6, Years 7-9, and Years 10-13.
There will be prizes for each age category plus an overall winner with the title of Young Artist of the Year .

A panel of judges will judge all submissions, with successful entries being displayed as part of the Milton Keynes Open exhibition at Westbury Arts Centre between 10th-16th July 2021.

The exhibition will be available to view in person (Covid restrictions allowing) and online.

What sort of art?  We welcome all sorts of art – Painting, Drawing, Illustration, Collage or Print – it’s up to you!

When’s the deadline?    The deadline for entries is 4th May

How much is it?   This year we have waived all entry fees for those under 18.  You can submit up to 3 pieces of work.
