The naughty elves could lead you to a £200 John Lewis voucher
The naughty elves have escaped and they’re hiding in windows around Painswick! If you buy the map to find them, you could win a £200 gift voucher from John Lewis. The Painswick Naughty Elf Trail, organised by Friends of The Croft School, aims to raise its annual £10,000 target to improve the outdoor area at the village’s primary school and runs from Friday 18 to Wednesday 23 December.
Entirely socially distanced, the trail invites household groups to follow a map of the elves locations. Each trail map costs £3 and enters you into the draw for the voucher, provided via generous sponsorship from local business Hamptons International and Painswick Parish Council.
FOTCS says, “We’re so happy we’ve found a way to spread some Christmas joy this year, even with potential Covid restrictions. We’ve had to cancel the school Christmas discos which the children so look forward to, Fireworks Night which is our biggest fundraiser, and three other key fundraising events so far in 2020. We hope the Painswick Naughty Elf Trail will help keep children entertained in the school Christmas holidays, and edge us towards our fundraising goal at the same time.”
