Peter Pan will fly into your living room this Christmas
Families and schools eager to enjoy an original Gloucestershire-grown Christmas panto in the comfort of their own home should (virtually) visit The Barn Theatre in Cirencester, which has announced its one man production of Peter Pan starring Waylon Jacobs, available for streaming live over the festive season.
With tickets priced at £13.50, the pantomime tells the famous J.M. Barrie tale from the point of view of a father in a hotel room, 3,000 miles from his daughter, who’s determined to recreate her favourite bedtime story remotely. Cue an epic tale of pirates, fairies, one notorious crocodile, and a little boy who refuses to grow old.
Performances take place on Wed 23 Dec (2:30pm), Thu 24 Dec (5:30pm), Sat 26 Dec (2:30pm & 7:30pm), Sun 27 Dec (5:30pm), Tue 29 Dec (2:30pm), Thu 31 Dec (5:30pm), Sat 2 Jan (7:30pm), Sun 3 Jan (5:30pm). Ticket buyers will also be invited to donate a further £5 or £10 to be shared between Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Barn Theatre itself.
Schools can also purchase streaming links for viewing in class, while the production can be viewed free by hospitals and care homes.
