Discover the lost roar in Cirencester Park this summer!
An immersive theatrical event aimed at children aged 2 to 10, ‘The Adventures of Lavender and the Lost Roar’, is now running at Cirencester Park until 30 August. Described as a woodland walk with a difference, the experience allows families and children to become part of the story as magical characters and fantastic creatures emerge from behind every tree.
The trail follows the story of Lavender the woodland fairy, searching for the lost roar of her best friend, Simon the dinosaur, who’s been shouting for millenia that we need to start looking after the planet. Each family group taking part has a magical woodland guide to accompany them along the trail who not only describes their own adventures of living in the woodland but introduces them to other characters along the way.
Perhaps Flumpkin the squirrel or Flash the wise frog can help as they make a wish on a ‘Wish-A-Plop' stone so that Simon can find his roar again. Each character introduces guests to lots of new friends to help them solve the mystery of the Whispering Woods.
At just under 1.2km, the trail is the perfect length for little legs and usually takes around 60 minutes to complete. With so many things to look out for, there's no danger of children getting bored, and each intrepid explorer receives their very own wish-a-plop stone to take away with them, plus a sweet treat (freshly baked by Flumpkin squirrel).
