Have your say on new funds for Gotherington community groups
Following the completion of new homes in Gotherington, nr. Tewkesbury, and payments of more than £160,000 by their developers for investment into the local community, Tewkesbury Borough Council has invited local projects to express their interest in the funding.
Groups who would like to apply for grants should write to the council explaining how they meet needs in their community which have risen directly from the new housing development. Closing date for expressions of interest is 31 March 2022.
Councillor Clare Softley, lead member for communities, says, “Over £160,000 has been put aside towards sports and play facilities in the Gotherington area. We would love to hear from local groups who are able to demonstrate how they can meet the needs of the community who have moved, or will move, into, these areas.”
