Newent welcomes parents to Year 5 open morning this July
Newent Community School and Sixth Form Centre takes its responsibility for the education and wellbeing of its students seriously and aims to ensure that, as well as loving school, they’re well-prepared for the future when they’re ready to leave. By then the school wants them to have achieved the best possible exam results, been involved in a wide range of activities, forged lifelong friendships and, above all, have happy memories of their school days.
“We’re committed to inspiring learners for their future through a vibrant, innovative and support environment where students develop resourcefulness, resilience, accept responsibility and are challenged to take risks in order to succeed,” school principal Mrs Burke says. “Maximising individual students’ development and achievement is what every day is about. Students develop the skills and confidence to prepare them for life in the 21st Century and it is our aim that students leave us with a passion for life-long learning. We are a kind school where staff support and encourage each other and students to achieve their best.”
Newent continues to be a school that offers students a broad and balanced curriculum supported by a vast range of additional opportunities and extra-curricular activities. Parents already thinking about options for September 2023 are welcome to attend the school’s Year 5 open morning on Wed 6 Jul (10am-12noon) when you can meet Mrs Burke and her staff and see the school and the students in action.
