The Moreton Show returns for another year of family fun on Sat 3rd Sep in Moreton-in-Marsh. The show is one of the largest one-day agricultural shows in Britain with more than 20,000 people attending the 2021 show. Located in the 165 acre North Cotswolds site there is much to see and do with the Grand Arena being at the centre of these attractions.
The Grand Arena’s timetable is full of fun and interesting attractions including Squibb Freestyle Stunt Bikes, a parade of the Hounds, the Shetland Pony Grand National and to round up the line-up a grand parade of some of the best livestock in the U.K. The Rural Attractions Ring also has a selection of interesting attractions including terrier racing and a parade of vintage tractors. The Horse Section of the show site has a plethora of horse showing and show jumping classes with many of the showing classes being qualifier classes for the Horse of the Year Show.
Alongside the grand parade of livestock in the Grand Arena there will be a large collection of livestock and agricultural equipment littered throughout the show site. Stockmen and women will be travelling from across the UK to exhibit their animals and equipment at the show with the aim to not only entertain families but to educate people including the most experienced farmers in attendance about various agricultural subjects. Children will also have the chance to meet some farm animals in The Moreton Morrell and Pershore Colleges ‘Farmtastic’ area of the site.
There is a large selection of trade stands throughout the show selling everything from wellington boots, handicrafts and wines to combine harvesters. Many of the homemade and smaller trade stands can be found in the Home and Garden Marquee where there are a plethora of flowers and vegetables which is perfect to help children to get into gardening as discussed by Primary Times Gloucestershire in our 2022 Summer Holiday print magazine.
The show is ticketed with tickets ranging from £10 for children between the ages of 5 and 15 to £20 for people over 16 and £50 for families with two adults and up to three children. Follow the link below to book and find more information about individual attractions at the Moreton Show.
