A Twist of Tweedy, Shrek and Winnie

The Everyman Theatre is a beacon of family theatre this season with the uproarious pantomime, ‘Dick Whittington and his Cat Tweedy’ (running until Sun 8 Jan), supplemented by an enchanting version of Hans Christian Anderson’s ‘The Snow Queen’ (until Sat 31 Dec), followed by a raft of classics and exciting new shows.

CeeBeebies lovers will adore ‘Hey Duggee’ as the lovable dog and his gang take to the stage for the first time (Tue 21-Wed 22 Feb), while Donaldson and Scheffler’s beloved ‘Tales From Acorn Wood’ (Fri 3-Sat 4 Feb) is another first. ‘The Nosy Little Troll’ promises magic for ages 3 to 8 (Sat 18 Feb) while a certain clown is back with ‘Tweedy’s Musical Mayhem’ (Thu 23-Sat 25 Feb).

Book your seats, too, for more legends on stage with ‘Shrek the Musical’ (Tue 12-Sun 17 Mar) and ‘Winnie The Pooh’ (Thu 31 Aug-Sat 2 Sep), while Michael Rosen’s ‘Unexpected Twist’ (Tue 18-Sat 22 Apr) promises a thought-proving take on the kids’ classic Oliver Twist.
