Wheely great views of Cheltenham return!

Families from across Gloucestershire can enjoy views across Cheltenham from the town centre this February as the Observation Wheel returns to Imperial Gardens.  The wheel last made an appearance in the gardens before the pandemic as part of a project by organiser Cheltenham Business Improvement District (BID), Light Up Cheltenham. To celebrate its relaunch, beloved children’s characters Chase and Marshall from PAW Patrol greet fans between 12.15pm and 16.30pm on Sat 4 Feb. Don’t panic though, if you miss the opening as Paddington Bear also makes an appearance on Sat 18 Feb between 12.15pm and 16.30pm.

Parents looking for some time away from the kids can also enjoy the wheel as a heart-shaped arch light installation provides a great backdrop for photographs before a romantic ride between Fri 10 and Mon 20 Feb.

Cheltenham BID’s chief executive, Heath Gunter says, “We are thrilled to see the return of the Cheltenham Observation Wheel, after a couple of years’ absence. This highly anticipated event is sure to be a spectacular and enjoyable experience for families and visitors of all ages.”

Booking is recommended via the website.
