It's Twist but not as we know her

Spring brings an ‘Unexpected Twist’ to Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, in the form of Michael Rosen’s inventive merger of ‘Oliver Twist’ with a modern-day tale (18-22 Apr). The former children’s laureate introduces us to Shona, a new girl at school, who’s reading the Dickens novel yet trying hard to stay out of trouble. She gets wrapped up in mobile phone-related mysteries with some boys she meets, drawing modern parallels with the historic story.
In August the theatre welcomes the magical ‘Dragons and Mythical Beasts’ (3-5 Aug), the jolly japes of ‘Sarah & Duck’s Big Top Birthday’ (7 Aug) and the ageless classic ‘Winnie The Pooh’ (31 Aug-2 Sep).
And look out, too, for Everyman Summer School, whose dates are Mon 31 Jul-Fri 4 Aug (ages 8-12) with Everykid (ages 4-7) dates coming soon.
