About the Author and Illustrator
Linda Strachan is an award-winning author of over 70 books, including the bestselling Hamish McHaggis series, novels for older children and many educational titles. An inspirational speaker in schools, libraries and at conferences from the UK to New Zealand, Linda is also a Patron of Reading and former Chair of the Society of Authors in Scotland.
Darren Gateis an illustrator and graphic designer based in Glasgow. He won the Kelpies Design and Illustration Prize in 2016. He is also the illustrator of A Secret Diary of the First World War.
