360 Play Milton Keynes chooses The Hollie Foundation as Charity of the Year for 2018

Following its recent search for a local charity to support this year in the Milton Keynes area, 360 Play family entertainment centre in Knowlhill has announced that The Hollie Foundation will be its official charity for 2018.

360 Play is a popular destination for families with young children and as it continues to be involved in and to work with the city and the local community it has once again chosen a local children’s charity to support in various ways throughout the coming year as its ‘official’ charity.

The Hollie Foundation is a grant funding charity that supports families affected by Niemann-Pick Type C (NP-C), a cause of childhood dementia. The charity’s mission is to make the lives of those affected by NP-C a little easier, while working collaboratively towards finding a viable long term treatment or cure, bringing hope for the future.

The charity supports families and other organisations working in the NP-C field through its grant giving programme, providing funding for research, specialist equipment, the enhancement of vital support services and other social and medical needs. It also works to increase knowledge, education and awareness of all aspects of NP-C.

Commenting on the choice of this year’s charity, 360 Play’s group sales and marketing manager Michelle Pearson-Elliott said: “The Hollie Foundation is a wonderful organisation for 360 Play to support as the official charity for our Milton Keynes centre in 2018. The charity does valuable work in supporting individuals and their families who are impacted by Niemann-Pick Type C and provides assistance in a number of different ways.

“We’ll be supporting The Hollie Foundation in a number of ways and look forward to working with their team in providing some new fund raising opportunities which will benefit the organisation, be it charity events held by 360 Play, the use of our centre by the foundation for fundraising events, raffle prizes or other activities.”
