Yet, he is rather clumsy and keeps dropping his eggs, so he could with some young eyes to help him find them!
We've found some of the best place for families in Cornwall to go on an Easter Egg Hunt as well as other spring themed trails for 2023... and who knows you may be rewarded with a chocolate treat at the end!

Easter at Heligan - Roots, Shoots, Buckets and Boots
Join Heligan this Easter from 1st to 16th April and take part in a hunt with a twist. Search for the many joys withing the season as they explore the science and magic of roots and shoots and the commitment, skill and joy of nature. They also look forward to welcoming you to meet their newborn lambs and for you to hear more about the lambing season and their conservation breeding programme.

- Zog Activity Trail at Cardinham Woods - the much loved character returns with a new forest adventure trail and free app
- Pendennis Castle are running an Easter Adventure Quest from 1st to 16th April. Explore the site to hunt for clues and challenges and discover traditional Easter games. Participants in the trail will be rewarded with a chocolate treat and an adventurers certificate.
- The National Maritime Museum Cornwall are running an non-Easter themed trail for participants to learn about what they can do for the natural world. from 9th to 24th April. Find all the items to win a prize.
- Dairyland Farm Park are hosting a number of Easter activities including a Easter quiz with a prize for all who solve the puzzle.
- Wheal Martyn are hosting a Spring Nature Spotter Trail from 20th March until 20th June. Complete their Spring Nature Spotters handbook as you explore and discover Wheal Martyn using all of your senses.
- Join Driftwood Spars in St Agnes from the 1st to 3rd April for their Bunny Rescue Easter Egg Hunt. Find the chocolate eggs in this super secret spy mission.
- The Trebah Tree Hugging Trail until 31st March asks participants to search the garden for game markers playing against their friends and family to reach the highest branch. Each trail purchased support the work of Plant One Cornwall
- From 1st to 16th April take part in Truro City Council's Easter Trail. Collect your clue and entry sheet from Pollen In The Park, Truro Community Library or the Truro Visitor Information Centre to collect your clue and entry sheet then head to the gardens and follow the clues to find the hidden bunnies before collecting a prize for taking part.
- Trevathan Farm Shop and Restaurant are hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at Trevathan Farm Shop and Restaurant on 6th April with tractor and trailer rides, meeting the Easter Bunny and the opportunity to see the baby chicks and lambs - booking is essential via 01208 880164
- Crowan Church will be hosting a Wild Church and Easter Trail on 26th March where participants can explore faith through discussion, activities and wandering in nature.
- There will be an Easter trail at Truro Cathedral until 16th April with families encouraged to search for colourful Easter eggs leading to seven stations with things to read, look at or do. Suitable for all ages, free and welcome to all
- There will be an Easter Trail and Crafts in Liskeard from 1st to 15th April 2023 on Mondays to Fridays from 10am to 4pm and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.
- Bodmin Jail are hosting a Victorian Easter Egg Hunt from 1st to 15th April 2023- the Easter Bunny has hidden several eggs around the Museum. Find all the eggs and claim your reward at the gift shop - due to the content of the Museum exhibitions, parental discretion is advised
- Visit Camborne Library from 1st to 15th April - look for 11 Easter Eggs hidden around the library then solve the puzzle for a chocolate prize.
- Visit Enys Gardens between 3rd and 16th April 2023 for their Dragon Egg Trail
- Join Cornish Seal Sanctuary between 25th March and 16th April for their Penguin Eggstravagnza which includes a Mystery Egg Trail, Storytime with Lily, seal pup demos and special penguin talks.
- Between 4th and 16th April you can visit Bodmin Railway for an Easter activity where children can find all the hidden letters around the station/platform and along the track when riding the train - complete the words to claim your prize. Pre-book to avoid disappointment.
- Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay are hosting a Totally Turtle event from 1st to 16th April where visitors can put their turtle knowledge to the test with this Trail and quiz as well as daily talks.
- Bude Easter Eggstravaganza takes place on 9th April at Bude Sea Pool with an Easter bonnet competition, fancy dress competition, treasure hunt, Easter egg hunt, refreshments and more.
- Join Bodmin Keep for their Easter Trail from 3rd to 8th April and 10th to 14th April where participants need to find all the eggs hidden around the Keep to claim their chocolate prize
- From 4th to 8th April visit Launceston Town Centre for the Launceston Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt. Follow the route and answer the questions inside the shops. Collect an egg for every right answer - sign up in advance to guarantee your eggs at launcestonevents@gmail.com
The National Trust is running Easter Adventure Trails throughout the Easter period which are approximately £3 with a chocolate or vegan and free from Rainforest Alliance Easter egg.
The following National Trust locations are taking part
Antony - 4th to 13th April (closed 8th April) - The Trail is available from 12 noon until 5pm with the last trails being given out at 4pm.
Cotehele - 1st to 16th April. On the Easter trail, find and complete the 10 nature inspired activities that are hiding along the way. Challenge the family to an egg and spoon race, discover the daffodils in the old orchard and help to create the giant nest for eggs.
Glendurgan - 1st to 16th April (not 3rd April) - Make your way along the trail and find nature inspired activities for the whole family.
Godolphin - 25th March to 16th April - Easter trail with ten stations including clay making, skittles, mystery boxes, mud pie kitchen, barefoot trail and more.
Lanhydrock - 1st to 16th April. Hop, race and hula-hoop your way through Lanhydrock's historic formal garden and seek out the old Thatched Cottage, transformed into a House of Games especially for Easter. Pop into the rainbow tent for facepainting over the Easter weekend or visit one of the three Lanhydrock house routes and discover more about how the Victorians celebrated Easter.
Pentire - 1st to 16th April. Explore the accessible, sensorty orchard as you tick off fun activities.
Trelissick - 1st to 16th April. Follow the trail around the garden and look out for animal footprints, step, hop or jump along the stepping logs and search for spring colours and choose your pledge for nature.
Trengwainton - 2nd to 16th April (closed Fridays and Saturdays except Good Friday). Stop at the 10 activity stations in the garden for fun things to do that are all about the birds and the bees that call Trengwainton their home.
Trerice - 1st to 16th April - make your way along the trail and find nature inspired activities for families.
