Nurses discover new ways to wellbeing
Hard-working, second-year Nursing students from the University Centre Truro & Penwith took part in a Wellbeing Day to kickstart their new year of higher education studies. Taking time away from stethoscopes and scrubs, the students took part in a range of activities organised by the Centre’s Health, Wellbeing and Sport team. The students bonded over yoga and mindfulness workshops to refreshing nature walks and wellbeing quizzes, all provided alongside their studies through the Health, Wellbeing and Sport timetable, which has a range of free activities especially for students. As well as learning about the importance of self-care for themselves, the Wellbeing Day also taught them how patients can improve their care through similar activities.
