Things to do in Cornwall during summer 2020

With many attractions gradually re-opening we have compiled a list of some that you may like to visit.

Flambards -  there are fun activities for all the family and most attractions and facilities have been reopened.   Indoor facilities require mask wearing by those individuals that are stipulated by current government guidelines. Tickets must be pre-booked and at the time of writing are available on a 7 days for the price of 1 offer with 10% on online bookings.

Newquay Zoo -  visitors are taken on a journey that allows you to get close to over 1,000 of the world's Welcome To Newquay Zoorarest and most endangered animals.  Set in 13 acres of beautiful sub-tropical gardens, it is an oasis that allows visitors to release their inner animal and have fun! From the amazing savannahs of Africa to the rainforests of South America, there is lots to discover and enjoy.

Character Days at Camel Creek - Camel Creek Family Adventure Park has reopened most of their areas and have put a number of social distancing measures into place.  A schedule of character days is lined up so keep an eye on their social media and website for more details.  Pre-booking is recommended as the capacity will be limited.

Lost Gardens of Heligan- Step into summer at The Lost Gardens and embark on a seasonal sensory adventure; discover a world of butterflies and bees and lose yourself in a wildflower sea until 6th September 2020.  This year, they have planted an incredible 15 acres of wildflower meadow for you to enjoy. Cornflowers, corn chamomile, poppies and corn marigolds will come together to create an incredible visual backdrop to summer at The Lost Gardens.

Seal Sanctuary  - get up close and personal with a wonderful range of rehabilitating seals and other sea animals and find out their stories whilst helping to contribute to their ongoing recovery.  Visits are required to be pre-booked.

Shipwreck Treasure Museum - with its treasure trove of over 8000 artefacts from over 150 shipwrecks, there is plenty to engage maritime fans of all ages.  Pre-booking is not required, however the museum will initially be operating with reduced capacity with timed tickets available on arrival and staggered entry.

The Minack Theatre summer events - The Minack Theatre have announced a schedule of summer events including family-friendly storytelling events from Squashbox Theatre and regular garden and theatre visiting slots.  Social distancing measures are in place and visits and shows must be pre-booked and are selling out fast.

Paradise Park  - If you have been following the adventures of their keepers who moved in to look after the animals during the lockdown then you will be pleased to know that Paradise Park has now reopened with some restrictions and social distancing guidelines fully in place. See over 1,200 birds as well as playful otters, red pandas and more.  Capacity is reduced and pre-booking is essential.
