Haunted Halloween at Lowther Castle & Gardens
Journey to a realm of myth, magic & mysterious monsters this Halloween at Lowther Castle & Gardens.
Do you dare enter ‘The Kingdom of Doom’ where you’ll encounter Trolls, Goblins and other creatures of the night as they crawl out from the dark, hidden corners of the garden. Will you escape the clutches of the forbidden forest and avoid the sorcerer’s spells in this new and improved Halloween experience. Remember to bring your anti-troll torch to help light the way and protect you through your journey.
Enjoy frightfully fantastic performances throughout the evening from otherworldly characters who’ll be ready to entertain and amaze with terrifying tricks and frightening feats. We’ll be casting spells and causing mayhem in our new interactive performance of spooky science and wicked witchcraft.
Get stuck in with an array of new Halloween activities in the haunted sculpture gallery and stables. Be prepared to get messy with ‘Slimy Swamp Sludge’ and ‘Ogre Snot Making’. Be creative with other crafts from the crypt including ‘Frogs, Bogs & Goblins’. ‘Creepy Creatures’ and ‘Mask Making’ Have your face painted and transform yourself into a witch, wizard or other scary character. Hunt ghosts and ghouls in our new ‘Ghost Busters’ activity where you’ll be armed with a Nerf Gun as you navigate the Spooky Stables.
Experience a scary but spectacular Harris Hawk from the Bird of Prey Centre. You’ll have the opportunity to get as close as you dare to this fantastic creature. An expert will be on hand to answer questions and share fascinating facts.
The shop and cafe will both be open all evening.
