Derby Grammar School Expands Offer to Introduce Reception and Infant Classes
Derby Grammar School has announced that it will be expanding to welcome boys into Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
The school has traditionally offered places from Year 3 upwards but due to increased demand places will be made available for younger years from September 2019.
Dr Norris, Head of Derby Grammar School, said: “This is a very exciting new venture for us and completes our offering of an all-through education, committed to the needs of boys.
“Our Junior School is an incredibly happy and vibrant place where our boys are nurtured and challenged in equal measure.
“Now we are delighted to make the announcement that our doors will be open to three new year groups this September.”
Pupils joining Derby Grammar Primary School are now automatically guaranteed a place in Senior School, with no additional testing required.
Dr Norris said: “We are looking forward to a new and exciting era.”
An open day is being held at Derby Grammar School on Saturday 16 March from 10am to 3pm.
