Events and activities this February half term from the National Trust

From wintry adventures in nature, outdoor family trails and welly wanders, to seasonally inspired crafts, activities and games, there are lots of events and activities on offer. Whether you’re exploring miles of woodland, gardens and landscapes as a family on cold, crisp winter days, or looking for indoor activities, whatever the weather the National Trust has something to entertain you and your family.

Have fun at Calke Abbey, with a natural play area and acres to explore, there’s plenty to do. The Children’s Country House at Sudbury Hall is designed especially for kids making it the perfect family day out. At Hardwick Hall, there will be a spotter sheet with things to find around the house and estate. Whilst Kedleston Hall is the perfect place to get outdoors, with over 800 acres of grounds, there’s plenty of space.

At Shugborough Estate, follow a storybook trail, with characters from Kate Petty and Axel Scheffler. Or why not discover more about the Chinese New Year, during a themed trail around Biddulph Grange Garden? Visit Moseley Old Hall and use the mud kitchen, or maybe climb to the top of the three-storey tree-hide, there’s plenty to keep families occupied.
