It is great to see so many Easter events coming back to Dorset this Easter holiday. We have compiled a list of family Easter Egg Hunts, Easter Trails and other spring trails that are available during the school holidays and suitable for all ages.
Easter fun including Easter egg hunt, games, brand new show “Tik Tok Time” and Mr Rabbit over Easter weekend (7th to 10th April 2023). Paddington will be visiting on 6th April.
Take part in the Fantastic Egg Hunt Trail from 1st to 10th April and look high and low for fantastic eggs across the Country Park. Find all the eggs and crack the code to receive your fantastic Easter surprise.
Alternatively enjoy the Treemendous Tree Trail and explore the Trees of Grove Wood and learn about the native and non-native species that now call the Country Park home.
Celebrate 100 years of The Tank Museum with the opening of the brand new ‘Tanks in Popular Culture’ exhibition celebrating tanks in film, games, modelling, music and more as well as live tank displays on weekdays and free trails and activities
Swannery Easter Spotter's Trail
Abbotsbury Swannery, New Barn Road, Abbotsbury, Weymouth, DT3 4JG.
Visit the Swannery and see the swans laying their eggs from 1st to 16th April and take part in the Easter Spotter's Trail.
Swanage Pierare hosting an Easter Egg Trail from 1st to 16th April. The Easter bunny along with all his friends are hiding on the Pier, find them all, collect the words and arrange them into a rhyme to earn your reward.

Join Durlston Country Park from 25th March to 15th April for 'Bonkers Bunnies - Children's Easter Trail' where participants are invited to try to find all the bunnies to win a prize - booking is not required
The Keep Military Museum,Shire Hall Museum and Dorset Museum are collaborating for one afternoon on 1st April for The Great Museums Easter Trail. Visit all three museums in Dorchester in one afternoon with an interactive trail throughout and each location hosting their own Easter-themed activities - kids go free.
Visit The Red House Museum between 1st and 16th April to take part in the British Bird Eggs Hunt where visitors are invited to find 8 eggs in the Museum with pictures of different British birds
Lulworth Castleare hosting Spring Family Fun from 2nd to 13th April with an opportunity to explore the Castle, climb the tower, visit the woodland playground and take part in trails, games, hunts and crafts.
From 3rd to 16th April, Mapperton are hosting their Easter trail. Whilst exploring the beautiful gardens, can you find a winner in the Easter Bunny Race - also, over Easter weekend there will be an Easter Egg Hunt and lambs for you to see
Pay a visit to Verwood Library from 3rd to 15th April to take part in their Easter chick hunt with prizes up for grabs

There is a free family fun day at Shaftesbury Children's Centre on with an Easter trail. face painting, balloon creations, magic show, musical fun, crafts and more. Free lunch for every child with a HAF code.

'Little Explorer's Hop Into Easter' is an event on 11th April at Museum of East Dorsetwith Easter and spring themed arts, crafts and stories - follow the trail around the garden to find where the cheeky chicks are hidden.
Visit Lytchettt Matravers Library on 11th April for some Easter themed fun crafts and picture hunt around the library aimed at ages 4+. This is a drop in session from 3pm to 4pm - no booking is required.
Take part in Spring Crafts and Storytime at Corfe Mullen on 12th and 14th April with creative activities and an Easter egg hunt around the Library. Free, drop in event.
National Trust 'Easter Adventures In Nature'
The National Trust is running 'Easter Adventures In Nature' throughout the Easter period (dates vary per location). Pick up your activity pack for £3 per child and follow the bespoke trails, finding and completing nature-inspired activities before collecting a Rainforest Alliance chocolate eggs and allergen-free alternative.The following National Trust locations are taking part:Brownsea Island - 24th March to 30th April. Follow the busy bee trail around the garden and get involved with fun bee themed activities along the way.
Kingston Lacy - 1st to 16th April. This Easter find ten amazing activities around the Easter adventure field before claiming your tasty prize. For even more fun head tho the new play areas in the woodland and Kitchen Garden.
Corfe Castle - 1st to 16th April. This Easter the Corfe Castle Dragon would like visitors to complete a new set of challenges found throughout the castle ruins. Have your face painted and dress up like a soldier, royal resident or a peasant as you set out on the dragon's quest.
