Flamenco for Kids Reader's Review

Flamenco for Kids

Learn to flamenco dance with the Pros - Ole! This is a lovely dance show - with a difference, for any budding dance stars (and their mums/dads).  After a beautifully played guitar and choreagraphed steps by Ricardo and his Japanese/ Canadian dancer, the show breaks the Flamenco down into pieces for all the lil' ones to practice - and there is hardly anyone left in the audience.  Who knew the different hand claps for Flamenco dancing and, precisely, how to perfect them?

Much clapping, stomping and twirling later - the dancers get to try on dazzling red dresses, flowers in their hair - and, for the boys, waistcoats and spanish boleros.  This looks and sounds (after less than 30 mins rehearsals) amazingly quite good.

Rose and Lottie (twins aged 4 1/2) both gave this show double thumbs up - and Rose, even in her bed tonight was demonstrating "flamenco hands" - picking the apple and putting it in her basket.  Lottie even in her plaster cast (with her broken leg) couldn't resist joining in - and only once hopped on my toes!

A review of dance is never really able to do it justice - if you might be a little bit curious - then, go see the show and take part for yourself!
