This was an entertaining and very funny show. Leapin Louie had just arrived on a plane from the USA, and was giving his first ever show in Scotland. He performed tricks, worked a rope, juggled, cracked a whip and rode a unicycle. All this in a small venue with limited space, a low ceiling and all the usual lights and equipment. He was extremely skilful, as the ropes and whips whirled above us, but never touched anyone! Since he is a real cowboy, he had a gun, and used it to switch his back music on and off! Everyone enjoyed his patter, and there were plenty of children desperate to assist with the tricks. He included even the smallest children, much to the amusement of the audience. After keeping 2 ropes spinning, jumping in and out of them, juggling with balls and hats, and even a card trick with invisible cards, the grand finale involved the unicycle, ropes and juggling. Impressive! Ewan, aged 9, said he was very skilful with the lasso, and the show was very humourous.
