A good show for budding cartoonist, both young and old. Harry Venning is a professional cartoonist who is also a funny man and he encourages everyone to be a cartoonist. He wanted us all to release our inner cartoonist and not worry about whether we could draw or not. He taught us some simple techniques which he demonstrated well and then encouraged us all to put these into practice by making our own cartoon strip. He drew wonderul cartoons while all the time telling us some entertaining stories and jokes (many for the adults too) making us all feel at ease and able to go and create our own cartoons. He has a great message which is to keep drawings simple don't worry about mistakes or using a rubber just keep drawing, give it a context and add a surprise to make it funny. Lots of audience participation which kept the children entertained and engaged. Finlay aged 8 said "I thought he was a funny man and he was very good at drawing. He taught me how to draw better" We would definitiely recommend this to other families with budding cartoonists.
