Rosie's Magic Horse Reader's Review

Rosie's Magic Horse

Rosie's Magic Horse was really very good - Lottie and Rose (aged 4 1/2) thought it was even better than the book (by Russell Hoban and illustrated by Quentin Blake) with Rosie and her trusted steed (made from lollypop sticks) heading off on their midnight adventures to find treasure amongst the Incas and Ali Barbar, as well as having a run in with pirates. There are some fun songs (and joining in!), silly dances and cheesy jokes - like the vultures in the desert "Keep Calm and Carrion"! The pirate song and dance is absouletly hilarious.

A positive uplifting tale too - with a twist, which makes it more virtuous than the orginial. An ambitious set and props, which will hopefully survive the run! This is a show of a book, where they have really used their imaginations to enhance the adventure and we all came out with smiles on our faces.

Suitable for ages 3 - 8
