Show Review: Back for a second year, Cat in the Hat is a must for any Dr Seuss and Cat in the Hat fan and for those who aren't. Sally and her brother are stuck in the house on a rainy day while their mother is out. You know you’re in for a myriad of surprises, crazy ideas, the trickiest of tricks and a mischievous afternoon, when the Cat in the Hat turns up. A rainy afternoon turns into an amazing adventure of ‘fun that is funny’ with visits from Thing1 an Thing2 to help make thinks just that little bit more chaotic. The poor gold fish tries but fails to calm things down, but can thy clean up the mess before mother comes home?!
The show really gets the kids in on the chaos with colorful lights, bubbles and fantastic giant balloons bouncing around the audience, the cast even mingle about in the audience at times. The set is very true to Dr Seuss illustration and cleverly done. We really enjoyed this show and as Dr Seuss fans felt it was very sympathetic to the Cat in the Hat story book. There were some hilarious moments and full of mischief in true Cat in the Hat style Aiden (3 and a half) said “I loved the big balloons” and “ I don’t want Thing1 and Thing 2 to go back in the box”
