With a different line-up for every performance Comedy Club 4 Kids is an excellent way to introduce older kids to the ambience and variety of an adult stand up show. Our able host on this occasion was the lively Abigoliah Schamaun whose effortless interaction with the young audience kept the whole event flowing smoothly. First up was the creative Jody Kamali as the Great Fernando who entailed the help of two willing participants to demonstrate his initiation into the ‘Gorbachev Circus of Wonder’. Whimsical and quirky the audience was hooting with laughter as he was chased around the stage by a ‘shark’ and a ‘lion’ from his legion of animals. Next up came the fantastic Children are Stinky duo with an amazing display of acrobatic skill and strength. Incredible stunts with hula-hoops accompanied by a foot stomping soundtrack ensured a rapturous response from the captivated crowd. Last but by no means least the talented Comedysportz could have easily held their own on Mock the Week. Clever, fast-paced and accomplished the lively trio use suggestions from the audience for their skillful improvised sketch. With plenty of interaction throughout this is a great way for kids to experience top quality comedians in a grown up setting.
