Young Inventors Competition

Leading education supplier Rapid Online has launched a competition to find the next big inventor in primary schools throughout the UK. The challenge is for children to draw their very own invention. They will be marked on the design’s creativity, the practicality of the invention and the quality of the drawing (the age of applicants will be taken into consideration).

It is recommended to allow 30 minutes to an hour of class time to allow the children to really have fun with their inventions. By entering, the pupils have a chance to win one of five LEGO WeDo Construction Sets for their classroom, as well as the complementary Software and Activity Pack. As well as being great fun, it’s a perfect activity considering the introduction of programming to the national syllabus.
