Christmas Kidical Mass Bike Ride, Colchester
Join the free Colchester Christmas Market Opening Kidical Mass family bike ride on Sunday 7 December 2025.
The main ride sets off at 9.55am from the Mercury Theatre, Balkerne Gate, CO1 1PT.
If you’d like a slightly longer route (1.4 miles), meet at 9.30am near St. Benedict’s College car park, at the end of Norman Way, CO3 3US. Free flags, whistles, bike number plates, spokey-dokeys, streamers and horns will be available.
Father Christmas will join the ride at the Mercury Theatre to lead everyone down the High Street to officially open the Christmas Market, finishing at St. Nicholas Square, where children will receive free presents and everyone can enjoy cake.
This is a safe, flat, marshalled ride suitable for all ages 0–99. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. No booking required.
