Howgate Centre in Falkirk launched their sensory shopping initiative in 2016 to help customers with autism spectrum conditions (ASC), sensory or additional needs who find busy shopping centres a daunting experience. Visual and detailed guides for individuals with autism and their parents/ carers can now be downloaded from their website to help plan their visit and Sensory Shopping is available on the first Sunday of the month throughout the year.

Kirkcaldy 4 All and the Mercat Shopping Centre are working together this year to bring a whole calendar of family-friendly Christmas events to the town.
On 2nd December, in support of Small Business Saturday, there will be a fun array of entertainment on the High Street including stilt-walkers, a fire juggler, magician and balloon-modeller – and it’s all free!
During December children can also pick up a cardboard Christmas bauble to decorate and hang on their tree or hand in at the Mercat grotto to claim a Christmas treat.
And of course, Santa’s grotto is open in the Mercat every Thursday to Sunday until Christmas Eve (Thursday-Saturday open 11am-5pm, Sunday open 11am-3pm).

FUNBOX the fun-loving musical team of Anya, Kevin, Gary and Bonzo (formerly of The Singing Kettle) have a packed touring schedule planned for late 2017/early 2018 and continue to enchant and delight their fans with their madcap energetic family singalong shows.
“We are gearing up for our new Christmas show; SANTA’S FUNTASTIC FACTORY”, says music man Gary, “with 10 venues across Scotland including Dundee, Glenrothes, Stirling, Perth and Dunfermline - it’s going to be amazing!” The FUNBOX gang will be on the road with UNDERWATER ADVENTURE and HIGHLAND FLING shows until the end of October before the Christmas tour starts on November the 18th.
