The 7th Lindt ‘Make Easter Sweet for Temple Street’ Campaign Returns

Lindt donates thousands of Gold Bunnies to raise funds for Temple Street!

Patients at Temple Street Children’s University Hospital received hundreds of Lindt Gold Bunny soft toys to celebrate the launch of the 7th annual Lindt Make Easter Sweet for Temple Street Campaign. The special ‘bunny run’ of fluffy Lindt Easter Gold Bunnies was made by well-know Irish personalities and long time Temple Street supporters, 2FM’s Nicky Byrne and Jenny Greene from the Nicky Byrne Show to wards throughout the hospital. Hundreds of bunnies, carried in Easter baskets, were hand delivered to all the very special patients in Temple Street to mark the 7th year of Lindt’s fundraising activity.

The Lindt Make Easter Sweet for Temple Street campaign will once again see the Gold Bunny Roadshows arrive in selected Shopping Centres in Ireland to raise much needed funds for Temple Street Children’s University Hospital. To date, the campaign has raised over €380k for the hospital which has enabled the fundraising team to purchase vital pieces of life saving equipment for the young patients at the hospital.

This year, the Lindt Easter campaign will concentrate on raising enough money for the hospital to buy a specialized Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Microscope for their ENT Theatre.  This piece of vital equipment will enable Temple Streets specialized ENT consultants and surgeons receive high-quality imaging and brilliant illumination for the many Ear, Nose and Throat reconstructions, surgeries and procedures carried out at the Hospital.

Temple Street Children’s University Hospital cares for over 145,000 children every year. Since the very first Lindt Make Easter Sweet for Temple Street campaign was launched over 340k mini Lindt gold bunnies have been sold in aid of Temple Street. The Roadshow has hopped to shopping centres all over Ireland  - 30 events to date - and 6 vital pieces of equipment have been bought for Temple Street Hospital. Over 50 volunteers have given up their time to support the fundraising over the years and 45 national and international celebrities have signed ceramic Lindt Gold Bunnies for the online Lindt Gold Bunny Auction. The auction alone has raised over €20k for the initiative.

LINDT GOLD BUNNY ROADSHOWS

Once again, Lindt has donated thousands of Lindt 10g Gold Bunnies which will be available to chocolate lovers at the Lindt Gold Bunny Roadshows for a minimum donation of €1, with every cent going to Temple Street.  Look out for the Lindt Gold Bunny Easter Hunt Packs which will also be available at the Roadshows. Each hunt pack contains everything a family needs to have the perfect Lindt Gold Bunny Easter Hunt at home. Hunt packs retail at €10 each with all proceeds going to Temple Street.

The fund raising activity will be kicked off with a weekend of ‘bunny fun’, as the Gold Bunny Roadshow returns to Dundrum Town Centre 5th and 6th April, Blanchardstown Shopping Centre 15th and 16th April and Pavillions Swords 18th and 19th April.
