YOUTUBE SENSATIONS DAN AND PHIL LEND THEIR VOICES TO DISNEY’S HILARIOUS NEW ANIMATED ADVENTURE, BIG HERO 6!
YouTube and Radio 1 personalities Dan Howell (danisnotonfire) and Phil Lester (AmazingPhil) have lent their voices to the UK theatrical release of Disney’s latest epic comedy adventure and BAFTA Award nominated release, BIG HERO 6, which is set to hit cinemas in 3D later this month.
Dan and Phil have over 6.5 million subscribers between their main individual accounts alone, not including other projects they collaborate on together in separate channels. The popular pair’s involvement with the film was announced by Disney UK’s official Twitter earlier this week alongside an image of the dynamic duo recording their cameo roles in the studio.
The Vlogger stars will be voicing the parts of Technician 1 and 2 in the upcoming release which has been nominated for the highly coveted ‘Animated Film’ category at this year’s prestigious BAFTA Awards. While not yet released here in the UK, BIG HERO 6 has been taking the world by storm achieving colossal Box Office success across the globe. The film has grossed an astounding $408,959,000 to-date.
BIG HERO 6, inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, is the latest success for Walt Disney Animation Studios following the phenomenal performance of 2013’s Frozen, which is officially the biggest animation of all time.
Dan said of his cameo; “People were like ‘You’re in a Disney movie?!!’ I was like ‘are you sure you didn’t mean to CC Tom Cruise instead of Dan in this email?!’”
Phil added; “When I found out that this was happening I skipped around the house!”
Dan says of BIG HERO 6 – “It’s just so funny and creative! It’s one of those things that everyone will find funny.”
