BAFTA Kids LAUNCHES ITS YOUNG PRESENTER COMPETITION

The competition aims to find an exciting new young presenter, aged between 7 and 14. The lucky winner will get the once-in-a-lifetime experience of hosting BAFTA’s behind-the-scenes coverage at the British Academy Children’s Awards on 20 November at The Roundhouse in Camden, London.

To enter the competition, children are invited to submit a short video of no more than two minutes, which shows them interviewing someone they would like to give an award to. This might be a teacher, parent, brother, sister or friend.

In the video, the presenter should introduce the person receiving the award, ask them three questions, and conclude with explaining why their recipient deserves an award. Each video should include the line “reporting for BAFTA Kids” either at the start or end of the film.

An independent jury, comprising some of the most well known presenters in children’s television, will select the winner. The jury will be looking for someone who is friendly and engaging, with a real passion for presenting.
