As well as carrying out their crucial day job, over 200 teachers have stepped up to also help teach the rest of the UK’s children through BBC Bitesize Daily, the BBC’s online education offer.
Over 150 lessons are being provided every week to children across the UK as the BBC delivers its biggest ever push on education whilst schools are closed due to coronavirus. Each lesson is designed by a teacher, ensuring learning can move on through curriculum led work.
A number of teachers are also making their first foray into the world of broadcasting, appearing on BBC Bitesize Daily morning lessons, available every day on BBC iPlayer and BBC Red Button.
Helen Foulkes, Head of Education at the BBC said: “We are so thankful for all these teachers offering their time and expertise when the nation’s children need it most and ensuring their education can move forward. The Bitesize class of 2020 teachers have gone above and beyond and Bitesize Daily simply could not exist without them.
Where can you find the class of 2020 teachers?

Take on the Teacher - Instagram Lives
Every Thursday at 10:30am, year 10 students are given the chance to grill one of the Bitesize teachers in an Instagram Live on Bitesize Instagram. These lives give students the opportunity to ask a high school teacher questions on Maths, Science and English and then take part in a live quiz to test what they’ve learnt.
