Hop into the kitchen this Easter with a fun, bunny-shaped pizza the whole family will love!
This easy, child-friendly recipe is packed with veggies and bursting with creativity. From shaping the bunny to designing its face with olives, peppers and tomatoes, kids will have a blast making and eating their very own Easter pizza masterpiece. Make sure to always supervise children when baking in the kitchen.
Ingredients (Makes 1 large bunny-shaped pizza):
For the dough:
π° 250g plain flour (or whole wheat flour for extra fibre)
π° 1 tsp baking powder
π° ½ tsp salt
π° 150ml warm water
π° 1 tbsp olive oil
For the topping:
π° 4 tbsp tomato passata or pizza sauce
π° 75g grated mozzarella cheese
π° ½ red pepper, diced
π° ½ yellow pepper, diced
π° 75g sweetcorn
π° ½ courgette, thinly sliced
π° 4 cherry tomatoes, halved
π° ½ red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
π° Black olives (for bunny’s eyes and nose)
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan) / 400°F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Make the dough:
In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add warm water and olive oil, then mix until a dough forms.
Knead for 2–3 minutes until smooth.
3. Shape the bunny:
Roll out the dough into one large oval shape for the bunny’s face.
Cut two smaller oval shapes for ears and attach them to the top of the head.
Place the shaped dough onto the baking tray.
4. Add the toppings:
Spread the tomato passata over the dough.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly.
Arrange the peppers, courgette slices, sweetcorn, cherry tomatoes, and red onion on top.
5. Make the bunny’s face:
Use two black olives for the eyes.
Place a cherry tomato or olive in the centre for the nose.
Arrange thin strips of red pepper or onion for whiskers.
6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Serve & enjoy! Let it cool slightly before slicing into fun bunny-shaped portions.
