Pause and reflect this Remembrance Day with Tom Palmer and Carolina Rabei
Award-winning author Tom Palmer and illustrator Carolina Rabei invite schools across the UK to take part in a special live event on Thursday 6 November 2025 at 11am, presented by Scholastic Book Club Live.
The session marks Remembrance Day 2025 and celebrates the launch of Tom’s picture book, War Dog: The True Story of Judy, Hero of WWII — an inspiring tale of one dog’s extraordinary bravery and loyalty during the Second World War. Based on the true story of Judy, the only animal officially recognised as a prisoner of war, the book shines a light on courage, hope, and the powerful bond between humans and animals.
The live event will include a Q&A with Tom Palmer and a live drawing session with Carolina Rabei, offering pupils an engaging and accessible way to reflect on the themes of remembrance, resilience, and friendship.
