This Mother’s Day weekend (Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March), visitors can enjoy special Butterfly Life-cycle talks and Meet the Mini-beast handling demonstrations in the Discovery Zone at 11am and 2pm. Led by the Farm’s friendly Education Team, the sessions give children and grown-ups alike the chance to learn more about butterflies and even get up close to some fascinating stick insects.
Inside the tropical rainforest environment, hundreds of free-flying butterflies glide through lush planting, offering a calm and immersive experience that feels a world away from everyday life — making it a thoughtful alternative to traditional Mother’s Day celebrations.
Mums attending the demonstrations will also receive complimentary wildflower seeds (subject to availability), offering a lasting reminder of a special family day out.
