Olive magazine have collated their favourite breakfast and brunch ideas as well as mothers' day menus

Supermarket websites are a great resource for accessible and easier recipes that are especially suitable for families.  Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda all have their own mothers' day collections.

Jamie Oliver has collected his favourite mothers' day recipes and placed them here and have been especially adapted for younger readers

 

Craft and other activities

The always excellent Activity Village website has dozens of simple and cheap craft ideas with detailed instructions for children.

Home education site Twinkl has created a number of fun and educational downloadable resources for the occasion including decorations and papercrafts which are available if you already have a Twinkl subscription or via their free trial.

We love this CBBC poem generator especially for the big day and as an unusual idea

The ever-reliable Blue Peter mini-site for older children has some cheap and easy ideas for homemade gifts including bath bombs, sugar scrub and more.  Alternatively the CBBC site has some lovely, easy and meaningful things that you can do that won't cost a penny.

 

Mother's Day Craft

Pinterest is a great resource for finding lots of fantastic ideas for things  that kids of all ages can make for their special day.  Don't forget to check out our own board of Mothers' Day ideas that are frequently updated. Many of the activities can be made using household and reusable items.

Stores such as The Range, The Works and Hobbycraft are also useful for craft kits and materials for all ages.
