Hendon Prep School awarded excellent in all areas
In January 2023, Hendon Prep in North West London was inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate and were thrilled to be awarded ‘excellent’ in all areas. The inspection concluded a double ‘excellent’, for both the quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements and for the quality of the pupils’ personal development.
This is the highest possible outcome during an Educational Quality & Focused Compliance Inspection. Headteacher, Mrs Tushi Gorasia, states, “It is a wonderful reflection of our hard work, dedication and commitment and a brilliant reflection of our students’ learning journey.”
Hendon Prep values pupil wellbeing and academic achievements equally, and so were delighted that the inspectors recognised this during their visit.
“The report shows that our focus on wellbeing leads to great progress and outcomes. Our current Year 6 cohort have achieved the highest number of academic scholarships ever. I am most proud of the personal development our students make and how they articulate the values of kindness and inclusion so well,” explained Mrs Gorasia.
This follows the school’s recent Independent Schools Association award win for ‘Excellence and Innovation in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion’, which the inspectors also commented on.
“To have an objective, external source give us such a glowing endorsement provides us with an excellent platform on which to build, as we continue working towards our future goals,” concludes Tushi Gorasia.
