Larne is continuing to show off its creative flair as four new pieces of street art take to the town centre.
Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, Larne Renovation Generation (LRG) and Larne Traders Forum have all been working together to bring these pieces to life by creating an Art Trail around the town.
The project will feature as part of the action packed activity list for Larne Arts Festival which runs from 8-26 June.
As part of council's plan to revamp Larne, four local artists were commissioned to produce a unique piece of work related to Larne's rich maritime and cultural heritage.
World renowned fashion designer Geraldine Connon has created a piece inspired by Game of Thrones and Larne's Ulster Scots Heritage that will go on display at Lower Quay Street.
Well-known local watercolour artist Audrey Kyle's piece for Broadway taps into the area's rich maritime history and beautiful scenery.
Upper Main Street will also get a taste of Game of Thrones magic with a breath taking Dire Wolf inspired piece by famous artist and garden designer Dawn Aston.
Widely exhibited artist Kim Montgomery piece on Larne's Viking connections will add some attitude and colour to High Street.
Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Maureen Morrow, is delighted with the new Art Trail: "Not only are these new features stunning, but they bring the town to life by adding colour and something unique. We wanted to enhance the tourism and visitor potential of the area, encouraging people to stay longer and act as a catalyst for further town centre investment. This artwork, along with the recent public realm improvements, will become part of the towns offering, attracting more locals and visitors like to spend time here."
Andy King from LRG added: "The latest works of art are a fantastic addition to the town and we're delighted to be involved in this project. Our ambition is to brighten up the town and to transform it into an open air art gallery and museum. We want everyone who lives in Larne to feel proud to do so and we also hope that tourists will enjoy the colour and community spirit."
You can enjoy a free guided tour of the new Art Trail on 13 June with LRG at 7pm, meeting at the Town Hall.
