With more than 3,000 jobs advertised every year, and with more than 43,000 staff, online recruitment will bring a wide range of benefits and improvements to our recruitment processes.
Online recruitment will make it easier for applicants to search and apply online for corporate jobs including administration; youth work; catering; transport; maintenance and a wide range of other professional support roles. Applicants will have the opportunity to create their own profile; apply for multiple jobs; and track their progress throughout the stages of recruitment. The new process also aims to improve communication between EA and job applicants.
School leadership and teaching positions, in addition to other school-based roles, will move online from January 2020. In the interim, applicants will continue to use the current application process.
Online recruitment also offers a more efficient recruitment process for Principals, Governors, EA Managers and all our staff who work collectively to ensure that the best staff are in place to support our children and young people to be the best that they can be.
EA Director of Human Resources, Clare Duffield commented:
“The Education Authority is a great place to work and it’s therefore important that we attract talented people, have the right tools to find them and help them apply.”
Online recruitment forms part of EA’s wider commitment to incorporating best practice and digital technology into every day work. Today’s announcement marks another milestone on EA’s transformation journey as we continue to strive for quality in everything that we do.”
