Last chance to enter Belfast Zoo’s annual photographic competition!
Did you manage to snap a ZOOPER photograph during your recent visit to Belfast Zoo? You can be in with the chance of winning cash prizes or professional canvas prints of your photos, but you better be quick as entries must be in before 4pm on Friday 20 September.
Belfast Zoo’s 36th annual photographic competition (sponsored by Jessops and Phil Smyth Photography) launched on 22 April 2019 and invites amateur and club photographers to creatively capture the sights and scenery of Belfast Zoo and the animals that live there.
There are six categories to choose from including:
- Category A – Best picture taken by a club photographer
- Category B – Best picture taken by a zoo visitor
- Category C – Best black and white picture
- Category D – Best funny caption
- Category E – Best picture taken by someone under 16
- Category F – Best picture of zoo gardens or landscapes
Zoo manager, Alyn Cairns, said: “Despite the fact that the competition has been running for more than 30 years, we are always stunned by the high standard of entries, as well as the creativity and skills demonstrated. Our online form entry system makes it much easier to enter and we have already received more than 300 entries this year. We can’t wait to share the winning snaps!”
