Fermanagh and Omagh Sports Forum Launch Coach Education Programme

Fermanagh and Omagh Sports Forum in partnership with Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has organised a series of workshops as part of the Coach Education Programme 2022, commencing with a Disability Inclusion Training Workshop in Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, Enniskillen on Wednesday 12 January 2022.

The Coach Education Programme which has been part-funded by the Fermanagh and Omagh Sports Forum also includes Autism and Sports Coaching, Inclusive Skills and Games, Safeguarding Children and Young People and Designated Safeguarding Officer workshops which have been organised in association with Disability Sport Northern Ireland (DSNI) and Sport Northern Ireland.

The various workshops will provide local sports clubs, coaches and volunteers with the opportunity to further develop their knowledge and understanding across a diverse range of topics to provide inclusive, supportive, and safe coaching environments.

Derrick Jobb, Chairperson of the Fermanagh and Omagh Sports Forum, said;

The courses will further enhance the knowledge of those involved within sports clubs and organisations through theoretical and practical based sessions to provide inclusive and supportive coaching environments"
