Join the Plastic Revolution – A Call to Nottinghamshire Schools
Future Makers, in partnership with South Wilford Primary School, is inspiring the next generation through the Plastic Revolution Schools Challenge—a hands-on project turning plastic waste into creative, useful products.
Over six weeks, pupils, parents, and teachers collected 20kg of waste plastic, which was transformed into a stunning recycled planter unveiled in a celebration assembly. The project taught pupils about sustainability, creativity, and the circular economy in action.
“This has given our pupils hands-on experience of recycling and creativity,” said Headteacher Mrs Aldridge.
Now, we’re inviting more Nottinghamshire schools to get involved! With support from local businesses, we aim to bring this powerful, practical learning to classrooms across the region.
