Thirsk Races includes two perfect family days out for your little ones this summer!
Throughout Thirsk’s racing season which rolls from early April right through to September, Thirsk stages 15 days of fabulous, competitive flat racing with two perfect family days out for your little ones this summer!
With six race meeting throughout the school holidays, Thirsk offers free entry for all accompanied u18’s and hosts a permanent playground, bouncy castles and slides at all meetings across the school holidays.
Just in time for the school holidays, we have introduced our new Family Ticket from the 22nd July onwards! The new ticket includes entry for 2 adults, plus any accompanied children into the Grandstand Paddock and Picnic area where you can enjoy the racing and bring your own picnic.
They also host two dedicated family days on held on Friday 5th & Friday 26th August, with lots of additional free entertainment to enjoy alongside the racing.
The incredible National Festival Circus coming on Friday 5th and the Riggamoor Petting Farm on the 26th, plus face painting and fairground stalls at both family days. In addition, on Friday 5th August the National Racing College will be coming should your little ones be interested in a future in racing. They will even be bringing their Equicizer along for all to have a taste of being a Jockey and what it’s like to ride a racehorse!
