Blenheim Palace Teams up with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity to Create Magical Neverland Christmas Experience
This Christmas, Blenheim Palace is set to transform into a spellbinding Neverland, enchanting visitors of all ages with a festive experience inspired by the beloved children’s classic, Peter Pan.
In an exciting new partnership between Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity), Sony Music/RG Live and Culture Creative, this unique collaboration promises to bring the timeless story of Peter Pan to life while supporting a hugely worthwhile cause.
Author J.M. Barrie gifted the rights to his beloved story to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in 1929 where the Darlings’ family home took inspiration from Barrie’s first lodgings situated behind the hospital site.
This generous act has continued to benefit the hospital for decades, helping to support seriously ill children from across the UK who are treated at GOSH.
This year, Blenheim Palace’s immersive Christmas event will pay homage to Barrie’s legacy, transporting visitors to the fantastical world of Neverland.
The Oxfordshire UNESCO World Heritage Site’s opulent state rooms will be exquisitely decorated to reflect scenes from Peter Pan.
Visitors will journey through rooms adorned with twinkling fairy lights, pirate ships, and whimsical forests, encountering beloved characters like Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook, the crocodile and Tinker Bell along the way.
Blenheim Palace will also be offering themed afternoon teas to continue the Peter Pan themed adventure.
The creative vision for this transformation is brought to life by Culture Creative, renowned for their expertise in sensitively crafting immersive and memorable experiences in heritage environments, all over the world.
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to GOSH Charity, helping to fund the hospital’s most urgent needs, including ground-breaking research into children’s health, cutting-edge medical equipment, child-centred medical facilities and vital support services for seriously ill children and their families.
By visiting Blenheim Palace this Christmas, guests will not only enjoy an unforgettable festive experience but also contribute to a worthy cause.
“We are thrilled to partner with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, Sony Music/RG Live, and Culture Creative to create a Neverland-themed Christmas,” said Blenheim Palace’s Chief Executive Dominic Hare.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring joy to our visitors while supporting the incredible work of GOSH,” he added.
Neverland in the Palace promises to be a highlight of the festive season. J M Barrie’s timeless creation offers a unique blend of storytelling, artistry, and philanthropy, ensuring that the magic of Peter Pan continues to inspire and delight while making a positive impact on generations of children to come.
So, the question is, would you like an adventure now, or shall we have our afternoon tea first?
