Homemade Lemonade

Ingredients:

• 4 lemons

• 140g caster sugar

• 1 litre of cold water (you can use mineral water if you prefer)

Method

1. Chop up 3 of the lemons and put them into a food processor with the sugar and half the water: blend until the lemon is finely chopped.

2. Pour the mixture through a sieve over a wide top jug or bowl, then press through as much juice as you can with the back of a spoon. Thinly slice the remaining lemon. Top up with the remaining water and serve with plain ice and the lemon slices.

You can ring the changes, with strawberries, raspberries, peaches or mango. For an extra twist, cut up 4 sticks of rhubarb and simmer in a saucepan for 15 mins with the sugar and half the water, pour through a sieve and add the remaining water.
