Will O's Reviews

The Knobbly, Wobbly, Bobbly Celeriac
By Alexandra Campbell | Publisher: Matador

In this lovely children's story, Alex and Morgan are given the task of choosing a different vegetable from the greengrocer shop every day.

Review: The celeriac looks like a really strange vegetable. I'd never seen one before, but now I'd like to try one. The rhyming words were very funny and made me laugh. I asked to listen to the book again.

Parent Review: If the book's objective is to introduce children to new vegetables and encourage them to try them then it was successful! The highlight of the book is definitely the rhyming, which both my 4 and 7 year old really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the plot is very tedious and unimaginative, but luckily the rhyming compensates for that enough for it to be an enjoyable read overall.
