From 24th July Greenwich Theatre is set to present two exciting new family shows - a new version of The Elves and the Shoemaker for ages 3+, and a new musical take on The Three Musketeers for ages 6+.
Directed by Ella McKeown and written by Brad Tutt, The Elves and the Shoemaker tells the story of a struggling shoemaker whose talents don’t extend far beyond clogs and wellies - and the mysterious visitors that have the power to change his fortunes forever. This new adaptation of the popular fairy tale promises to be a vibrant, colourful, madcap show full of slapstick comedy.
For The Three Musketeers, pantomime favourite and national award winner Anthony Spargo has reunited with director James Haddrell for a swashbuckling adventure full of music and mayhem. All performed by a company of virtuoso actor musicians, the show follows d’Artagnan as she arrives in the French city of Carcassonne, determined to become the first ever female musketeer. With the evil Cardinal Richelieu prepared to do anything to take control of France, she is about to find herself on the adventure of lifetime.
Tickets for both shows, which run throughout the summer holiday, are available at www.greenwichtheatre.org.uk or by phone at 020 8858 7755.
