Theatre Peckham has been running its Academy for nearly 40 years

This year, they have won an award in recognition of their training programmes, testament to the amazing quality of the classes they run for young people.
The Academy offers an accessible dance, acting and backstage programme which cultivates a passion for the performing arts through self-exploration, teamwork, creativity, and play, providing a talent pipeline into the creative industries.
Classes are for children aged between 3-16 and include Musical Theatre, Ballet, Acro, Young Music Producers, Acting, Glee Club Pop, Junior Acting Company, Tap Dance, Backstage, Street Dance and Young & Talented Theatre Creators.
This year they are focusing on the theme of culture, celebrating the diversity of their students and celebrating the importance of the world's cultures. The Academy welcomes students from diverse backgrounds and origins, fostering a sense of global citizenship and mutual respect among students.
