Following last year’s hugely successful production of Jack and the Beanstalk, pantomime is well and truly back at Catford’s Broadway Theatre. Susie McKenna (who directed Hackney Empire pantomimes for over 20 years) will work her magic again, bringing her award-winning team together for a lavish production of Sleeping Beauty.
This year’s panto, a gothic fairy tale with a 21st century twist, transports audiences to the magical kingdom of Lewishtonia, where once upon a time, a princess is born. Not invited to the celebration party, wicked fairy Carabosse casts an evil spell which changes the princess's life forever. As she turns 18, she discovers her true identity and faces the curse but can she take charge of her own destiny and ultimately save Lewishtonia?
Packed with fun for all the family this spellbinding show will be packed with colourful characters, knockabout comedy, show-stopping routines and no shortage of magic and sparkle. The production blends musical favourites, old and new, with dynamic original music, all the while championing a message of inclusivity and unity over division.
Performances start on 4th December and run through until New Year's Eve, with tickets from just £15 with lots of concessions available. Not one to be missed.
