Dick Whittington and his Catford Cat
Following the last two years of pantomime successes, this year Joy Productions and Broadway Theatre, Catford present the purr-fectly delightful Dick Whittington and his Catford Cat which promises all the magic and fun that audiences have come to love and expect from their Catford pantomime.
The tale begins with ‘Dickens’ Whittington and his feline friend embarking on the adventure of a lifetime on board the Empire Windrush. Chasing the dream and promise of a new life, they seek fame and fortune on the golden-paved streets of London town. Much awaits them when they arrive in Catford - adventure, adversity, rodent royalty, an eccentric fairy, and finding true love.
Written by Hackney Empire Panto Queen Susie McKenna, Dick Whittington is packed with fun and bursting with knockabout comedy. Look forward to show-stopping song and dance numbers, the most boo-able baddies and enough festive cheer to fuel a ship halfway around the world.
